Ace count

How To Play 21

Ace count

A card counting strategy in which the blackjack player keeps a count of how many aces have already been played versus the number of aces left in the deck. The more aces still in the deck, the more likely a player is to be dealt a blackjack. Since a blackjack pays 3:2, if the ace count is favorable for the player, the card counter increases her bet size. Decks are considered either ace rich or ace poor.
