Ace

One of the most important cards in a game of blackjack. The ace is the card with the A on it, and the card is valued at 1 or 11 when determining a blackjack hand. Without aces, a blackjack would be impossible, since no other card is ranked 11 or higher. Most card counting systems take aces into account. Some keep a side count of aces, or an ace count. A deck with a higher than normal percentage of aces to other cards is considered "Ace rich", and a deck with a lower than normal percentage of aces to other cards is considered "Ace poor".
